Twin Falls Idaho is the county seat and largest city of Twin Falls County, Idaho, United States. The city had a population of 44,125 as of the 2010 census.

In the Magic Valley region, Twin Falls is the largest city in a one-hundred-mile (160 km) radius, and is the regional commercial center for south-central Idaho and northeastern Nevada. It is the principal city of the Twin Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area, which officially includes the entirety of Twin Falls and Jerome counties. The resort community of Jackpot, Nevada, fifty miles (80 km) south at the state line, is unofficially considered part of the greater Twin Falls area.

Located on a broad plain at the south rim of the Snake River Canyon, Twin Falls Idaho is where daredevil Evel Knievel attempted to jump across the canyon in 1974 on a steam-powered rocket. The jump site is northeast of central Twin Falls, midway between Shoshone Falls and the Perrine Bridge.

Idaho has so many outdoor activities.  We love our mountainous peaks and deep canyons.  A huge hobby in Twin Falls Idaho is rock hunting.  Idaho is not just known for potatos, but gems!  The Gem State is the actual Idaho State nickname.  In the south-west area of the Magic Valley, “Fire opals draw rock hounds to Squaw Butte, 50 miles north of the town of Emmett in Gem County, where cherry and salmon pink opals can be found. Shoshone Falls Park

Shoshone Falls Park encompasses the south bank of the Snake River at the falls. A $5 vehicle fee is posted from March 30 through September 30th. The park includes an overlook, interpretive displays and a trail system along the south rim of the Snake River Canyon. The trails provide access to nearby points of interest including Dierkes Lake and Evel Knievel’s 1974 jump site. About 250,000 to 300,000 vehicles enter the park each year.

Outdoor recreation is fantasic here in Twin Falls Idaho.  We have kayaks!  The Snake River is just a 5 minute drive from the south side of the city.  The canyon is simply beautiful.  Flourishing fuana along the river and the trees and the views!  One of the best features, I think about Twin Falls, is the greenbelt along the canyon edge.
