Did You Know?
Fall Cleaning with a Pressure Washer

Fall cleaning can be a pleasent task. When the sun is out and the temperature is crips and cool, cleaning can be fun and easy using a pressure washer.

Regularly performing annual cleaning on your homes exterior, concrete or stone patio, wood decking and hard surface driveway not only enhances the look of your home, but reveals small maintenance issues that can be resolved before they become large issues. Using a pressure washer makes the task uncomplicated.

Always follow the instructions that come with the washer and test an area that is inconspicuous. Using a lower and wider spray and changing the intensity as you wash will guard against damage by using too much pressure.

Safety comes first. Use eye protection for not only the water spray, but flying debris that is being washed off the surfaces. Keep gas powered washers away from your work area to avoid fumes and wear ear protection as well. Electric washers should have the electrical connections or plug ins away from your work area and must stay dry.

Owning or renting a power washer will help with many of your fall cleaning tasks including:

  • Exterior siding and brick
  • Rain gutters
  • Patio and decking
  • Driveways
  • Patio furniture

If your idea of a pleasant fall afternoon is NOT using a pressure washer, look locally for a service that provides washing and caulking repairs. You’re more than welcome to give us a call at the office where we have a list of vendors that we use on our homes and properties.
